Attitude

We all have an attitude, good and bad. Whether you're a student talking back to a teacher, or a parent having a child talk back to you, we all experience others attitudes and well as our own. Our attitude towards others and towards God is very important. The attitude we have for just one day can effect our entire week. We all strive for a good attitude but always having one is difficult. With stress from homework or paying the bills, it's very easy to become frustrated. As Christian's we cannot let bad attitudes take over us. Bad attitude can cloud our judgment and get us into trouble. Focus on having an attitude like Jesus so that anger and frustration do not get the best of you.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus

Philippians 2:5

But what is an attitude the same as that of Jesus? And how do we obtain an attitude like His?

We already have an attitude the same as that of Jesus Christ. The goodness of Jesus Christ is already in us, we just have to accept it and let it shine.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23


To obtain such attitudes can be a step by step process. First, figure out your bad attitudes and repent.

Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

Acts 8:22

Second, submit your bad attitudes and obstacles to God. Focus on obeying the word of Christ.

Destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. Capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:5

Last, meditate on what is good and not of evil.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Philippians 4:8

Always having a good attitude is not easy, even trying to obtain one is hard. But as we strive for that attitude, we must give praise to the God who saves us.
