youth camp 2008

this weekend was our first youth camp. just to update the curious ones who did not have a chance to go to camp...we had youth from 4-5 different churches altogether including a couple of parents was about 80 people. we had a lot of fun just bonding together with each other and learning more about our lord n savior, jesus christ. the camp theme was surrender, as we learned from different and personal experiences of our leaders and how they have surrendered to God. We learned about surrendering our past, present, and future. it was definitely a great experience.

Smile!

Mother Teresa once said " Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other, it doesn't matter who it is, this will help you grow up in greater love for each other."

When I heard this quote, I thought about the powers of a smile. How a smile can turn a bad situation into good or how it can dry your tears. It can brighten your day and change your attitude. A smile cost nothing, but gives so much. A smile is a light in the window of the soul, indicating that the heart is at home. A smile is a smile, no matter where you are. So today, I thank God for the smiles we've had and the smiles we soon shall have.

Smile!
