the crazy things that make this world!
how interesting is life?...or how interesting is YOUR LIFE?! i can say my life is pretty crazy, i can somehow say it is a bit stressful because of the college life. weird to say not so much really on SCHOOL things, but more on eh, other things happening at school. but in general i think my life is pretty crazy. im in class and i just thought it'd be nice to just rethink what really makes this life we live interesting. Think bout it, it may not be these random pictures that make us laugh or think "wow" or whatever, but just to think what God really has made this world to be. "the crazy things that make this world"

ideas.
where is everyone? someone needs to post up pics!....
as im just brainstorming random ideas, im just thinking of different things to do for the rest of the year. i know i never go through with most of my plans, but i think we should definitely just start having more EXCITING and INTERESTING activities for FELLOWSHIP. i know this is bad to say, but its true and it does get kind of boring ALWAYS constantly reading and studying the bible, so that is why we should come up with different activities to "attract" more people to our church...and also relate it to God's word later. i have different ideas, but its really hard for me to put everything together by myself. like we should have different themes for like each night. it doesnt have to be EVERY saturday, because its nice to have a saturday to yourself. but like maybe we can start off with once a month type of saturday. we can like have for example a "american gladiator" night. if you watch tv, you may probably have heard of it. It's kind of like a relay challenge type of thing. or like "food festive" as in like food contest.. but they're all just ideas. i really want to start this "ministry" or wutever you would call it, but i just always feel ehhh'ed wen i think bout how much work its going to be..but nothin is easy rite?..so i probably would need your help to think of ideas..if you have any, you can just leave a comment n give us that idea! but i think this will be very fun. we cant just go to church every sunday just for sunday school or wutever or church rite?....we have to do other activities to attract other people and actually make them want to come to church! hahah ok i know im contradicting myself, but im trying to change, and help out sumway.

refuge.
havent "blogged" in a while...been a bit lazy and feeling sick to look for and post up pics, haha sorry will get back to that soon. but in the mean time.....
mae mae is back!...aka mabel for the unfamiliar, but she probably will not be showing up to church...
i was watching hotel rwanda the movie, if you havent seen it, its a pretty darn good movie. This film is based on true events that took place during the genocidal violence that erupted in Rwanda between the Hutu and Tutsi groups in 1994, when the Hutu military and Interahamwe militias killed roughly 800,000 Tutsis over approximately 100 days. In the face of these unspeakable actions, inspired by his love for his family, an ordinary man summons extraordinary courage to save the lives of over a thousand helpless refugees, by granting them shelter in the hotel he manages.This move gave me kind of a better look and idea on how the refugees used to live. just hearing about their stories didnt really give me a good idea of how they lived, yea it was sad, yea it was crazy and miraculous how some survived, but this movie really changed my views. seeing how the refugee camps looked like, WHOOOOAA is all i could think of. i thought they were a bit more luxurious. but i thought wrong, you definitely should watch that movie anyway just because through out this corrupted world, there are so many similar things like "Rwanda" that has happened in many other places, for instance Burma. My father was telling us throughout the movie how it happened to him because they were chinese in Burma. Now, in Sudan (darfur) genocide war is still happening...its something to think bout and kind of just appreciate how luxuriously we are living right now. and we should always ALWAYS definitely keep them in our prayers. and to also not forget to even pray for them and how blessed we are.

Salt and Light
This week at Youth Fellowship, we discussed the meaning of being salt and being light. Salt has many characteristics, it is unique, it stands out and makes things better. Light draws out darkness and can purify the dark. So, as Christians, we must be like salt. We must stand out and be unique. We must also be like light and draw out darkness. We must draw out the darkness and make situations better as Christians.
